Rob Straznitskas, Administrator
Rob has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 2007 and has managed facilities in multiple states within New England. When the opportunity became available to be part of the Durgin Pines team, Rob jumped at the opportunity due the facility’s solid reputation for care and comfort.
Jessica Lucia, RN, Director of Nursing Services
Jessica has been a nurse since 2010 and joined the Durgin Pines team in 2016. In addition to long-term care, Jessica has worked in hospice and brain injury healthcare fields. She’s passionate about the quality of care and lives of our residents and patients. Jessica and her family currently reside in Dover, NH.
Kathryn Desrosiers, RN BSN MDS Coordinator, Admission Coordinator
Kathryn has been with Durgin Pines since 2008 working as a Unit Aide and CNA. Kathryn graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2012 with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and has progressed in her career as a Registered Nurse Manager of the Skilled Rehabilitation unit to the Director of Nurses.
Andrew Gray, Food Services Director
Andrew Gray lives in Barrington NH with his family and has several years experience working in long term care in NH.
Christine Burke, M.S., Registered Dietitian
Christine Burke is our licensed Registered Dietitian who enjoys creating our delicious seasonal menus that meet our residents’ nutritional needs. She recently moved to seacoast Maine after receiving her Masters in Nutrition at Simmons University in 2020. She enjoys cooking, boating, walking her dog, and spending time with family.
Vicki Horne, Admissions Director
Vicki has worked in multiple capacities in healthcare including roles as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a Medication Technician. Vicki has been at Durgin Pines since 2016 and now is our Admissions Director. If you have any questions about placement for a loved one, feel free to contact her.
Hannah Swart, L.S.W., Director of Social Services
Hannah has been with Durgin Pines since 2021 after graduating from the University of Maine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Hannah began her long-term care career in 2015 as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Deborah Otis, Business Office Manager
Deborah has over 42 years of experience working in healthcare. She began her career in the hospital setting and moved into skilled nursing and long term care 25 years ago working in Accounts Receivable, Human Resources and Payroll Management. Deborah enjoys working with families and employees of Durgin Pines.
Abby Wheeler, Preschool Director
Abigail lives in Wells with her three children and two dogs – so weekends are always full of adventure!
Shannon Doonan, CTRS Activity Director
Shannon graduated from the University of Southern Maine and received a BS in Therapeutic Recreation. She received her CTRS certification and has been working at Durgin Pines since 2008. Shannon received the Celebrating Excellence in Care Giving Award from the Maine Health Care Association in 2016. She enjoys engaging the residents in creative individual and group programs in order to meet cognitive, social, spiritual, and physical needs. Shannon loves to hike, spend time with her nieces, and dog, Winston.
Ed Pavao, Facilities & Maintenance
Ed Pavao has previous experience with maintenance operations in an assisted living as well as extensive experience managing large apartment complexes. Ed and his wife have moved to Maine over a year ago and are enjoying the beautiful area.
